What to check

This calculation uses: Length, Width, Product consumption, Bag weight, Waste allowance. It returns: Area, Dry material, Bags.

Measure the area that will actually receive adhesive and calculate floor and wall zones separately if the tile or trowel changes.

Area is multiplied by the chosen consumption rate and waste allowance. Dry mass is then divided by bag weight and rounded up.

Consumption depends on notch size, substrate flatness, tile back profile and required contact. The number on the bag should replace the example value.

Do not use the theoretical minimum when back-buttering or large-format tile is planned. Uneven walls can increase consumption sharply.

Use the units beside each field. The values in the worked example are starting inputs; replace them with your measurements and the specifications of your material.
